At Brentwood Primary Care, delivering compassionate, high-quality care is a team effort. Our Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) play an essential role in providing comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages.

What Is a Family Nurse Practitioner?

A Family Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse with graduate-level education and clinical training in family medicine. FNPs are licensed to provide many of the same primary care services as physicians and serve as trusted healthcare providers for individuals and families.

Our Family Nurse Practitioners can:

  • Perform physical exams and preventive screenings
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging
  • Prescribe and manage medications
  • Provide patient education and lifestyle counseling

Their training emphasizes prevention, education, and long-term health management.

Supporting Comprehensive Patient Care

Our Nurse Practitioners work collaboratively with Dr. Shreya Khatri and our clinical team to ensure coordinated and personalized care. They take time to listen carefully, answer questions, and develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s health goals.

Because they are trained in family medicine, our FNPs provide care for patients across all stages of life — from pediatric visits to adult and senior care.

A Team-Based Approach to Primary Care

At Brentwood Primary Care, we believe strong patient-provider relationships are the foundation of quality healthcare. Our Nurse Practitioners are committed to building those relationships and serving as accessible, knowledgeable partners in your ongoing health and wellness.

We invite you to learn more about our providers and experience the supportive, patient-centered care our team is proud to deliver.
